Who we are
TalkingAccounts is a bookkeeping service operated by ZYN Accounting & Tax Consultancy L.L.C, a company licensed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). You can reach us at contact@talkingaccounts.com.
What TalkingAccounts does
You send us messages, photos, documents and bank statements through Telegram, WhatsApp (once available) or our web pages. We use them to keep your books in your own accounting software (QuickBooks Online today), to create invoices and reports you ask for, and to reconcile your bank statements. Our review team checks your books each month.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number or Telegram account, email, and the companies you link.
- What you send us: messages, receipts, invoices, bank statements and other documents, and in future voice notes.
- Accounting data: the records we read from and write to your accounting software through the connection you approve (for example suppliers, customers, invoices, bills and reports).
- Activity records: a log of every action the service takes on your books, who asked for it and when.
- Technical data: basic logs needed to run and secure the service.
We never ask for or store your accounting software password. You connect it through the software provider's own sign-in (OAuth), and you can disconnect at any time.
How we use it
- To provide the service you asked for: recording entries, invoices, reports, answers and bank reconciliations.
- For our review team to check and lock your books each month.
- To keep the service secure, prevent mistakes such as duplicate entries, and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account, including reminders about missing documents.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. Your messages and documents are not used to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
We share data only with providers we need to run the service, under contracts that protect it:

Some of these providers process data outside the UAE. We only use providers with appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep copies of the documents you send, and the activity log, for 7 years, because UAE tax law requires business records to be kept that long. Other data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised after it closes, unless the law requires us to keep it. Your books themselves stay in your own accounting software.
How we protect it
- Encrypted connections, and access to client data limited to staff who need it.
- Safety rules built into the system: it cannot delete entries or make payments, and reviewed months are locked.
- Every message is saved before it is processed, and backups are kept.
Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and other laws that apply to you, you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, receive a copy, or have it deleted, and you can object to some uses. Write to contact@talkingaccounts.com.
How to delete your data
Email contact@talkingaccounts.com with the subject "Delete my data", from the email or phone number linked to your account. We confirm who you are, disconnect your accounting software, and delete your data within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep, which we delete when that period ends. Deleting your data with us does not delete anything in your own accounting software.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and tell active clients about important changes.
